Cherries Star opens new homes

AFC Bournemouth player, Tyrone Mings commemorated the occasion by planting a tree at the Woodpeckers development in Oakwood Avenue, New Milton, alongside Coun. David Hawkins watched by more than 60 local residents.

Consisting of seven homes the scheme has replaced the former Oak and Yaffle pub.

Coun. Hawkins said " It is fantastic to see this tired and historically troublesome site turned into much needed and frankly wonderful housing for the younger families to enjoy. New Milton needs this type of housing stock desperately"

Jason Gadsby, from Bayview Developments commented "We are delighted that these new homes have been so well received, and we are extremely grateful for all the support and good wishes received from local residents"
